“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

Jesus, Christianity, and Religion Q&A

Do you have questions about God, Jesus, Christianity or religion in general? Do you have doubts about all this “religious stuff”

I know I had many (many!) questions and lingering doubts, both before and even after I believed in Jesus. Doubts and questions are normal, everyone has them. You don’t need to be afraid of them. However, you do need to tackle them head-on and make informed decisions for yourself; it is not wise to make decisions based on speculation, myths, “popular opinion” or “what the crowd believes”. After all, it’s your eternal destiny which is at stake, and nothing less.

I have tried to list common questions below along with links to where I found solid answers with reasoning, sound logic and biblical support. Once again, I do not agree 100% with what is on every site that I link to, but I feel that their core Christian beliefs are correct and that their answers were very helpful to me. If you would like to read my own personal background and testimony, they can be found here.

Each link below opens in a new page so you can come back here and continue reading if you wish.

I have also read myself and recommend these books as profitable reading:

If there is a God, why is there evil and suffering in the world?

If God’s creation was called very good, what went wrong?

Why doesn’t God cure and heal all those who are sick?

Why doesn’t God help those who believe in Him more? Or why does God allow bad things to happen to good people? Why does God seem absent today?

Aren’t all religions just schemes made up by man?

Aren’t all religions the same?

What is the difference between Catholics and Protestants?

Are there many ways (paths) to God?

Who was Jesus? Was Jesus Christ a real person?

Did Jesus claim to be God, or was he just some good moral teacher?

Is the resurrection of Jesus Christ true? Did Jesus really raise from the dead or was it just a made up story by His followers?

Why did God create things (e.g. the devil, Satan) that go wrong/bad?

Why did God create Adam and Eve (humans) knowing they would sin?

Are we (humans) alone in the universe? Do space aliens/UFOs exist?

Are Angels (and demons) really real?

Why does God allow earthquakes, famines and other disasters?

Why do we have to be blamed and suffer for the sins of Adam 6000 years ago? Does God Hate? If God is love, how can He hate?

If Jesus is the only way to be saved, what happens to those that never hear about Him?

What happens to little children when they die? Or the mentally ill?

What if I have doubts? Am I saved?

What is the purpose/meaning of life?

How can we trust the Bible, with so many versions and errors in those versions?

What is the Bible?

Why can’t we see God? Why is it so hard to hear God if He is really there?

Does God really send everyone to hell, even good people, who do not confess Jesus as their LORD?

Do we get a second chance to accept God after we die?

Is there really life after death? Is Heaven real?

Does God punish everyone forever and ever burning them in agony in hell for millions, billions, even trillions of years? Even a teenager who didn’t do anything wrong except refuse Jesus?

If I believe in Jesus and God, will my life be all good and happy and wonderful? Will I get rich also? Will I be blessed and healthy always? (Prosperity Gospel)

Why do those who claim to be Christian act so meanly? Why are they such big hypocrites in many many cases? Why are Christians so judgemental of others? And yet, why do Christians drive as bad as everyone else?

Why are so called Christian Pastors being accused of stealing, sex abuse and other bad things constantly?

Why did Christians kill so many people during the Crusades/Inquisition which I heard about?

Also, as a scientist myself (physics), I struggled mightily with many other questions about science, evolution, and “the universe” – how could it all be possibly created by a God, in a mere 7 days. I’ve organized those questions in a separate page here.
