We are exhorted to “examine yourselves” to make sure we are in the faith (2 Corinthians 13:5). A vital part of that examination is to ensure that we are worshipping the Lord “in spirit” and “in truth” (John 4:24). Many false teachings have become widespread and extremely popular today. To worship “in truth” we must make sure we are following that gospel that was “handed down once for all” time in NT Scripture (Jude 1:3-4). Be On Your Guard
Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. – 2 Peter 3:15-18

But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully [i.e. you do not abandon the truth of Scripture for the false teachings of man]…For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. – 2 Corinthians 11:3-4,13-14
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. – 1 Timothy 4:1-3
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths. – 2 Timothy 4:3-4

Are You In Babylon?
(or one of her baby harlots, "images of the beast," and not even realize it!)
I heard another voice from heaven, saying,

Can you even recognize when you’re being taught or preached a “gospel which is not another?” (i.e. a fake gospel, for there is only one given in Scripture). Can you tell when you hear something that it is in fact in agreement with Scripture (or not)? The warnings given in Scripture about wolves, some dressed up in “sheep’s clothing,” are abundant, explicit and clear. What does it mean to be dressed up in “sheep’s clothing” – it means they are in disguise, camouflaged if you will (i.e. they APPEAR to be Christian pastors). They are NOT easy to spot. Many are very very slick and polished in the extreme, just like the serpent in the Garden. Do you know Scripture as well or better than your own Pastor? If not, you may end up being deceived! Do not think it cannot happen to you, that just makes you a naive and gullible Christian, as I was once one myself also.
and sharper than any two-edged sword." - Hebrews 4:12
A few years back, I was in Babylon myself – and here’s the thing, I didn’t even know it! You see, I really thought I was worshiping the Lord in Spirit and in truth, but it was actually in Spirit and the false teachings, “traditions” and fake gospels of man. Babylon is the name Scripture gives to all these false worship systems. It was only through three years of study along with the absolutely unbelievable grace and mercy of the Lord that I was led out of Babylon and back into the truth of what is actually written in Scripture. But you have to really want truth with all your heart, mind and soul, or you will not find it. God will not lead you to it otherwise.
We’ve had centuries now (over 2,000 years!) of man-made false teachings, false prophecies, false religions, theological systems and frameworks, fanciful interpretations, catechisms, rules, rites, rituals, ceremonies, traditions, myths, wild-speculation, superstition, mysticism and a myriad of sectarian and denominational divisions (Gnosticism, Montanism, Manichaeism, Monasticism, Docetism, Arianism, Sabellianism, Paganism, Mysticism, Nestorianism, Pelagianism, Rationalism, Apollinarianism, Monophysitism, Eutychianism, Adoptionism, Catholicism, Protestantism, Reformed Protestantism, Arminianism, Calvinism, Adventism, Modernism, etc. ad nauseam’ism), and dozens upon dozens of false doctrines and false teachings made up by man, committees and institutions all piled up one on top of another and all masquerading as so-called “Christianity,” obfuscating the pure truth of the gospel handed down once for all time in Scripture.
Further compounding the situation is the absolutely staggering amount of noise (and even more false teachings) generated by the secular world, with its God-denying media and institutions trying to drown out the gospel message and the name of Jesus altogether by creating even more false teachings which masquerade as science, but are in reality fake science. Yes, we are being fed today fake news, fake science, fake entertainment, fake food, fake body parts, fake economics, fake finance, fake money, fake “religions,” fake prophecy and even fake gospels (e.g., lukewarm, apostate so-called “Christianity”).
You have been tricked! Yes, false teachings are being shouted today 24/7/365 (i.e., nonstop) in blaring volume from both secular media sources as well as “Christian” pulpits, broadcasts, books/authors, movies and publications. And we are gradually conditioned by repeated, frequent and persistent marketing propaganda (for that is exactly what it is) to accept the fakes (the false teachings) as the real thing, and even begin to believe it in place of the real. The exact same thing has happened to Christianity over the last 2000 years – we have been gradually trained and conditioned to accept and even believe that the fakes are the real thing, and in many cases, we cannot even tell the difference anymore!
This is a very sad state of affairs. Therefore, it’s no wonder that today, very few are even able to recognize true Christianity as defined in the Scriptures, and people are more confused today than ever before by all the false teachings, as well as by seeing an almost endless stream of hypocritical “pretenders” proclaiming to be “Christians” parading before and all around them. True Christianity isn’t achieved through the performance of “religious” rites, rituals and ceremonies; nor does it live in a church building. It’s no wonder people aren’t interested in Christianity, as they watch and see the staggering hypocrisy of professing Christians and churches today in large measure!
