I recommend enrolling in the next Bible study class that starts at your church (assuming you have found one), regardless of what book they are currently studying. Take the very next one that is starting, which fits your schedule. If you are at a smaller church and only one is offered, or there is only one available, which fits your schedule, take it – don’t worry about its book/topic/subject. Trust in the Lord to guide you to the right one. If one isn’t starting for a long time, it’s fine to join one already in progress. Just realize you won’t know very much at first, but that is perfectly fine and normal. Just getting started is the most important consideration!
If you can choose from several different classes, just pick the one you think sounds the most interesting. The goal here is to get you into any Bible study so you start to learn and study God’s Word. Besides, you should have already started on your own Bible reading plan at home, right? If women or men only classes are available, and the topic suits you, those are fine also. Single or mixed-gender doesn’t really matter that much – what matters the most is that you just get started.
